Allow me to introduce you to an amazing opportunity to serve God. The Glenmary Sisters serve in the Home Missions in the rural areas of the Southern and Appalachian regions of the United States. Founded in 1941 by Fr. William Howard Bishop, we are a community of Catholic Sisters who live and minister in the midst of the people we serve.
You might ask, “What does this look like?” We are each sent forth to assist people of all faiths helping them meet their spiritual, physical, and material needs. This looks different for every sister and mission. For me, it ranges from working with women who have young children, assisting the elderly who have no one to care for them, and also parish ministry. For other sisters, it includes Hispanic ministry, operating a food pantry, and working as a liaison with other agencies. These are the people the Holy Spirit directs us to…those who need to know that God hasn’t forgotten them in their pain, loneliness, and struggles.
I want to invite you to join us on ZOOM on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 7:00pm CDT.
If you are willing to STEP OUT IN FAITH…YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
